The Department of Applied Sciences provides the foundation to the overall integrated approach to engineering and acquaint them with the fundamentals of science subjects like Applied Physics, Applied Chemistry, Applied Mathmetics, Communication Skills in English, Engg. Drawing etc. which enhance the knowledge of the students & are instrumental in understanding the concepts of engineering subjects in detail.

For this purpose, we have the following laboratories as below:

1. Applied Physics Lab
2. Applied Chemistry Lab
3. Engg. Drawing Hall

The subjects are essentials to the understanding of engg. problems and are therefore taught with a view towards applying the science concepts to engg. problems. All these subjects are taught in the first year of engg. diploma as part of curriculum and adequate emphasis is laid on independent thinking and conceptual understanding.
